SBA Opens Portable Loan Outreach Center in Valdosta for Disaster Survivors

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced the launch of a Portable Loan Outreach Center (PLOC) in Valdosta, Georgia, aimed at providing assistance to individuals affected by recent disasters. The announcement was made on Friday, October 11, by the Lowndes County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).

The newly established PLOC is designed to reach disaster survivors directly, offering support and resources as they navigate the recovery process.

In observance of Columbus Day on Monday, October 14, all SBA centers—including Disaster Recovery Centers and Portable Loan Outreach Centers—will be temporarily closed. Services will resume on Tuesday, October 15, as confirmed by the Lowndes County EMA.

SBA customer service representatives will be available at every Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Recovery Center, including three locations across Georgia. These representatives are equipped to assist survivors with their SBA disaster loan applications, answer queries, accept necessary documentation, and provide updates on application statuses.
