The financial sector mirrored this mixed trend. HSBC Holdings saw a slight increase of 0.2%, while AIA Group experienced a decline of 1%. Ping An Insurance edged up by 0.1%, and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange remained stable, showing no change in its opening.
As markets continue to navigate a complex landscape, the varying performances across key sectors suggest cautious investor sentiment at the start of the trading week.
