Urgency to Meet Target: Despite the continued generosity, organizers have acknowledged the challenge of meeting the increased target. Debbie Hellaby, brand, marketing, and compliance manager for Newsquest, the company behind the appeal, highlighted the need for further donations, particularly as the deadline approaches on December 18.

How to Help:

Donate: Individuals can still contribute financially, with a £100 donation making a meaningful impact on the appeal’s success. Donations can be made through the Dorset Echo website here.

Toy Bins: Local residents have also been encouraged to drop off new toys at donation bins across the county. These bins have now been collected, and all donations will be distributed to children just before Christmas.

A Community Effort:

Every penny donated to the Toy Appeal goes directly toward purchasing gifts for children in Dorset, ensuring that even those in the most challenging circumstances will be able to experience the joy of receiving a Christmas present.

As the deadline nears, the community’s support remains crucial in achieving this year’s ambitious goal.
