Geelong’s local businesses will soon have the chance to tap into valuable resources as the state’s Small Business Bus arrives in the city on February 26. Set to park at Eastern Beach Road, on the waterfront, the mobile service is designed to offer expert advice to existing business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs alike.
Christine Couzens, Member for Geelong, emphasized the importance of the initiative, noting that 22 percent of Victoria’s small businesses are based in regional areas. She highlighted that the Small Business Bus plays a vital role in linking regional communities to the services they need to grow and strengthen their businesses.
“Victoria is home to over 700,000 small businesses, which make up 97 percent of all businesses in the state. These businesses are a cornerstone of our economy, contributing to local jobs and community growth,” Couzens said.
Minister for Small Business Natalie Suleyman also praised the bus, pointing out its track record of helping local businesses flourish. “The Small Business Bus offers a unique opportunity for people to access free, expert advice, enabling them to start or expand their businesses, create jobs, and contribute to their community’s economic success,” Suleyman remarked.
The program continues to provide an essential service to businesses across Victoria, with the goal of supporting entrepreneurs in achieving long-term success.
