Millionaire Buyer’s Advocate Dany Girgis Claims There’s a Property for Everyone

by Ivy

Millionaire buyer’s advocate Dany Girgis insists that there is a property attainable for every Australian, calling it a myth that real estate is out of reach for most people. With a property portfolio of 30 homes across Australia and Vanuatu, including Dany Island, a private tropical island, Girgis has made his mark as a successful investor.

Girgis, who began his property investment journey at just 21, previously owned the travel business Sure Thing Travel, which he sold in 2019. He says that the key to his success lies in purchasing the “right” properties, which enabled him to continue expanding his portfolio and even help family and friends. His success has made him a strong advocate for property investment, asserting that the barriers people perceive are often based on misconceptions.

“I don’t think it’s correct that people say property is unattainable. It’s just about buying the right property,” Girgis said. “Everyone’s in the same situation.”

His comments come after the Reserve Bank of Australia announced a 0.25 percentage point reduction in the nation’s cash rate to 4.1 percent in February 2025, a decision that he believes will boost market confidence.

“The rate cut was really good news for the market,” Girgis explained. “It inspired some confidence because a drop also indicates the end of the rate rises.”

Girgis, who is also a member of Mensa International—the world’s largest high-IQ society—has focused on ensuring that all his properties are positively geared, meaning the rental income exceeds the expenses. He advises investors to target homes where the rental income covers mortgage payments, utilities, rates, and maintenance, with the potential to generate a profit.

“The rent you receive should cover everything, and there should still be more left over for profit,” Girgis added.

As housing prices and interest rates continue to evolve, Girgis remains confident that savvy investors can navigate the market by making informed, strategic property choices.
