Mom Your Business (MYB), a prominent platform dedicated to empowering socially and economically disadvantaged women entrepreneurs in Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania, has introduced an innovative program called Fractional to provide critical executive-level support for emerging small businesses in the region. The program connects business owners with part-time, experienced executives in key areas such as finance, operations, marketing, and technology—helping them scale effectively without the financial burden of full-time C-suite staff.
The new initiative is backed by funding from JPMorgan Chase and aims to fill the gap for small business owners who need access to high-level expertise to navigate growth challenges.
Tanya Morris, CEO of MYB, emphasized the program’s importance: “Scaling a business requires more than just knowledge—it takes execution. Fractional will provide entrepreneurs with the strategic expertise they need to grow sustainably. By connecting small business owners with experienced fractional executives, we’re giving them the people and insights they need to create jobs and thrive.”
The Fractional program is designed to meet the diverse needs of aspiring entrepreneurs, offering tailored guidance through a series of free, expert-led virtual sessions. Business owners will have the opportunity to learn about Fractional leadership, best practices, and how it can improve critical business functions. Following an executive assessment, participants will be matched with experienced Fractional consultants—whether a CFO, COO, CMO, or CIO—who will work directly with them on actionable solutions, such as:
- Streamlining operations through documented processes
- Developing sustainable financial strategies
- Improving systems to enhance business efficiency
- Crafting targeted marketing strategies
- Creating clear roadmaps for scalable growth
In addition to executive support, Fractional is collaborating with LaunchPad, a workforce development program focused on preparing underrepresented students for careers in tech and related fields. LaunchPad students will assist Fractional participants in building business capacity by taking on essential, labor-intensive tasks such as logistics, website updates, and social media management.
Devon T. Horace, Program Coordinator of Fractional, added, “At MYB Fractional, we believe access to executive-level expertise shouldn’t be a barrier to small business growth. Our partnership with JPMorgan Chase enables us to expand our impact, providing entrepreneurs with the support they need to build sustainable businesses.”
Since its establishment in 2017, Mom Your Business has helped over 600 Black and Brown women entrepreneurs with the tools, resources, and capital to start and scale successful businesses. Through its accelerators, pitch competitions, and mentorship programs, MYB continues to uplift entrepreneurs, driving economic and social empowerment.
