Archer Unveils Plans for Air Mobility Network in San Francisco Bay Area

by Ivy

Archer, a pioneering company in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, has announced ambitious plans to establish an air mobility network connecting strategic locations across the San Francisco Bay Area. The network aims to drastically reduce travel times, replacing arduous one-to-two-hour drives with swift 10-20 minute flights.

Key locations in the proposed network include South San Francisco, Napa, San Jose, Oakland, and Livermore. To anchor this initiative, Kilroy Realty has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Archer, designating Kilroy Oyster Point in South San Francisco as a pivotal hub. This waterfront campus, spanning 50 acres, will potentially host a vertiport facilitating takeoff and landing for Archer’s eVTOL aircraft.
