According to sources familiar with the matter, French private equity firm InfraVia Capital Partners is exploring the possibility of selling Swiss data center operator Green. The potential divestment, on which InfraVia is reportedly collaborating with advisers, could potentially value the company at approximately €1 billion ($1.1 billion).
The individuals, who opted to remain anonymous as the details are confidential, revealed that discussions regarding the sale are in the preliminary stages, and InfraVia retains the option of not proceeding with the divestment. When approached for comments, a spokesperson for InfraVia chose not to provide a statement. Similarly, there was no response from a representative of Green to a request for comment.
As per information available on Green’s website, the company currently manages data centers at four different locations in Switzerland. Additionally, it is in the process of constructing two new high-performance data centers that are slated to become operational by 2026.
InfraVia acquired the data center provider from Altice NV in 2018, in a transaction that valued the business at an enterprise value of approximately 214 million Swiss francs ($248 million), as indicated in a statement released at that time.
