The UN Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries, and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) invites you to a pivotal webinar focusing on the outcomes of the SIDS Global Business Network Forum 2024. This webinar will delve into how the private sector can support the Antigua & Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS) and implement the transformative recommendations that emerged from the Forum.
Background:
The SIDS Global Business Network (SIDS-GBN), spearheaded by UN-OHRLLS, fosters public-private partnerships and promotes sustainable development in Small Island Developing States (SIDS). The SIDS-GBN Forum 2024, held in Antigua & Barbuda on 25-26 May 2024, focused on key areas including the Blue-Green Economy, Local Community Empowerment, the Enabling Business Environment, and Financing and Investment.
The Forum produced a set of transformative recommendations aimed at enhancing private sector engagement and facilitating effective public-private partnerships in support of the ABAS. These recommendations are outlined in the document titled “Private Sector Priorities in Support of the ABAS.”
