Art Sudham’s remarkable journey in real estate is driven by her commitment to supporting her family. Once rooted in the consumer goods sector, Sudham has emerged as a leading agent with Area Specialist in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs, enabling her to secure her dream home for her son.
Inspired by Local Success
Sudham’s entry into real estate was sparked by observing the success of local agent Michael Choi. Motivated by his achievements, she took the initiative to explore the industry further.
“I live in Keysborough, and I noticed Michael had a lot of properties,” Sudham shared. “I asked around to find out how to become a real estate agent.”
Starting her career at another agency, she eventually joined the Area Specialist team, where her expertise has flourished.
Specialization and Growth
Now serving the communities of Keysborough, Springvale, Springvale South, and Noble Park, Sudham specializes in a diverse range of properties, including houses, units, and townhouses. Recently, she has ventured into project marketing for off-the-plan developments, broadening her scope of work.
Three years ago, Sudham made a pivotal move to Area Specialist, albeit with some initial trepidation.
“I was a bit unsure at the beginning,” she admitted. “I thought, wow, this is going to be my own business—can I make it?”
Her decision has proven fruitful, leading to a significant increase in her income and essential business acumen.
Flexibility and Productivity
Sudham appreciates the flexibility offered by the Area Specialist model, which has allowed her to manage her time effectively while maintaining productivity. Currently, she sells approximately 50 properties each year, with her business continuing to thrive.
“I’ve been working seven days a week for many months now,” she noted, though she ensures to take occasional breaks.
Her success has translated into considerable personal wealth; she now owns four investment properties and has recently moved into a new family home, fulfilling her son’s dream.
“I just moved into my new house,” she said proudly. “It’s the house that my son wants to have.”
Community Engagement and Advice for Aspiring Agents
In addition to her real estate achievements, Sudham actively participates in her local community, sponsoring the South Springvale Football Club, where her son plays.
For prospective agents considering a career with Area Specialist, Sudham emphasizes the model’s earning potential and lifestyle benefits. However, she cautions that success requires hard work and dedication.
“I think it’s a good model, and you can make very good money as a real estate agent,” she remarked. “But it really comes down to how hard you work.”
