Sidley Austin has announced the addition of five leveraged finance partners to its global finance practice in London, all of whom previously worked at rival firm Latham & Watkins. This strategic move is part of Sidley’s broader initiative for future growth in the private equity finance sector.
The new partners—Jay Sadanandan, Sam Hamilton, Fergus O’Domhnaill, Joe Kimberling, and Ben Wright—bring extensive experience to the firm. Sadanandan and Hamilton served as global co-heads of Latham & Watkins’ leveraged finance practice, contributing over 20 years of expertise in advising on complex multi-jurisdictional financing transactions.
Their backgrounds encompass a diverse range of financial services, including acquisition financings, syndicated loans, private credit financings, bank/bond financings, bridge financings, public-to-private takeovers, hybrid instruments, junior debt, investment-grade loans, and post-IPO facilities.
This hiring is part of Sidley’s commitment to enhancing its finance capabilities and strengthening its position in the competitive legal market.
