British Land Retains GRESB 5-Star Rating Across Its Portfolio

British Land has proudly maintained its 5-star rating in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) annual sustainability assessment for both standing investments and developments. Notably, the company has outperformed its scores from the previous year in both categories.

GRESB, an investor-led organization, provides actionable and transparent environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data for listed property companies, private property funds, developers, and direct real estate investors.

In this year’s assessment, British Land achieved a score of 90 out of 100 for its standing investments and a perfect score of 100 out of 100 for developments. Both scores are 14 points above the GRESB average. For the past two years, British Land has been recognized as a global sector leader in developments, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainability.

David Walker, Chief Operating Officer at British Land, expressed his delight at the results, stating, “We are thrilled to have once again achieved 5-star GRESB ratings for both our developments and standing portfolio, with improved scores in each assessment.
