The Pekin Country Club is officially on the real estate market, with a listing price of $1.95 million. The sale is being handled by Los Angeles-based commercial real estate agency Crexi, as well as the online marketplace LoopNet. The property was listed on Monday, according to Chris Charnas, a golf principal broker with Links Capital Advisors, Inc.
Charnas highlighted the club’s appeal, stating, “It’s got a nicely appointed clubhouse, and the golf course is in great shape. It’s kind of a beloved part of the community.” The Pekin Country Club is situated at 310 Country Club Drive in Pekin and features an 18-hole championship golf course designed to accommodate various skill levels through four sets of tees, along with a state-of-the-art practice facility.
Despite the course’s profitable status, the online listing notes that the country club has faced challenges, particularly in its food and beverage operations, which have experienced significant losses. This financial strain has contributed to a decline in membership.
The Peoria Journal Star attempted to reach a spokesperson for the Pekin Country Club, but they declined to comment, citing a need to respect members’ privacy.
