Apple’s upcoming iPad 11, expected to launch this spring, is generating significant buzz, particularly around its potential to incorporate the company’s suite of AI-powered features, Apple Intelligence. According to a recent report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the iPad 11 will be powered by the A17 Pro chipset, a significant leap from the previous iPad 10’s hardware. Paired with 8GB of RAM—double that of its predecessor—this upgrade is poised to enhance the device’s performance, particularly for AI-driven tasks. The chipset’s capabilities are expected to facilitate smoother integration of Apple Intelligence, similar to the tech seen in Apple’s latest iPhones and iPad Mini 7.
The rumored hardware enhancements signal a departure from Apple’s traditional approach to the standard iPad line, which has typically focused on affordability with more modest specs. The iPad Mini 7, for example, featured similar hardware improvements to support Apple Intelligence, raising expectations that the iPad 11 will follow suit with upgrades such as a base storage capacity of 128GB, an improved display, and compatibility with the new Apple Pencil Pro, which introduces hover functionality.
Connectivity is also set to improve, with the iPad 11 likely to feature faster and more reliable Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
