Gabriel Medina Partners with KSM Realty in Wave Pool Venture

by Ivy

Three-time world champion surfer Gabriel Medina is expanding his horizons, entering the world of real estate with a strategic partnership in KSM Realty. The move comes as Medina recuperates from a torn pectoral muscle and takes a step back from competitive surfing. Medina has joined the Brazilian company behind the country’s first wave pool at Praia da Grama, marking a significant shift in his career as an entrepreneur.

Medina’s role goes beyond financial backing; he will also serve as an ambassador for KSM’s ambitious new project, Beyond the Club. This private, $190-million club is set to house the world’s largest Wavegarden pool, located in São Paulo, and will offer a limited number of 3,000 memberships. The project aims to redefine wave pool experiences in Brazil.

I thank everyone for their support and trust, and I’m ready to start this new chapter.”

Despite these exciting new business ventures, Medina affirmed that he plans to return to competitive surfing once fully recovered. At 31, he remains focused on his athletic career while also contemplating his future. “My biggest dream is to become a father,” he revealed, sparking curiosity about the future generations of surfing talent. Could a Medina Jr. versus John John Jr. rivalry be on the horizon? Time will tell.
