ProSpend Launches Campaign to Revolutionize Australian Finance Processes

by Ivy

ProSpend, a leading provider of expense management solutions, has unveiled its inaugural campaign, “Start ProSpending,” aimed at addressing the inefficiencies plaguing Australian finance teams due to outdated manual processes and disjointed systems.

A recent study from MYOB has revealed the significant challenges finance teams face in Australia, with research showing that nearly seven hours per week are wasted on tasks that stem from a lack of integration between various digital tools. More than half of these teams—53%—are forced to duplicate work across different systems, including repetitive data entry, consistency checks, and error corrections.

ProSpend’s unified platform, which integrates expense management, accounts payable automation, and virtual card services, seeks to eliminate the need for multiple fragmented systems. This integration aims to simplify the workload for finance teams, enabling mid-market businesses to gain better control over their spending and allowing teams to focus on more strategic financial activities.

Sharon Nouh, CEO of ProSpend, shared her perspective on the issue, drawing from her own experience in the travel sector a decade ago. “I’ve seen firsthand the challenges posed by manual financial processes. Despite technological advances, finance teams today continue to lose valuable time and opportunities to outdated systems,” she said. “That’s why we’ve created the only platform that truly brings together expense management, AP automation, and corporate cards—because Australian businesses deserve better than the chaos of fragmented systems.”

Phillip Vella, Sales Director at ProSpend, noted the shift in decision-making within the industry, stating, “With 60% of CFOs now directly involved in choosing technology solutions, mid-market businesses are at a digital transformation crossroads. They’re ready to move beyond the complexity created by isolated systems that only add more challenges.”

Marketing Director Tanu Kaushik emphasized the deep frustrations felt within the finance industry, explaining that the campaign resonates with everyday realities. “This campaign reflects the struggles of finance teams—missing family dinners, sleepless nights spent on reconciliations, and business owners buried under paperwork. ‘Start ProSpending’ isn’t just a slogan; it’s a call for the much-needed change in Australian business.”

Ingrid Heal, Head of Customer at ProSpend, highlighted the growing demand for simpler solutions. “Through numerous conversations with finance leaders, one thing is clear: they’re not looking for another tool to add to their stack—they’re seeking relief from the constant grind. Our customers have played a crucial role in shaping a platform that works for real Australian businesses.”

As part of this campaign, ProSpend will also release a report titled The Future of Spend Management next month. The report will delve into how CFOs in Australia and New Zealand are adapting to new financial operations models, underscoring the shift away from traditional, disconnected systems toward integrated platforms. With software spending set to hit USD $46 billion by 2025, the report will provide finance leaders with key insights and strategies to modernize their spend management practices.

The “Start ProSpending” campaign will feature a range of content, including brand films, thought leadership articles, and customer success stories, all showcasing how businesses have successfully transformed their financial operations through ProSpend’s unified platform.
