A Chinese business delegation, led by Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), visited Austria from March 13 to 16. This marks the first significant Chinese delegation to engage with Austria following the formation of its new government.
The delegation held comprehensive discussions with Austrian businesses across several key sectors, including automotive, agriculture, and food processing, resulting in a number of cooperation agreements.
Ren Hongbin met with Austrian political leaders, business figures, and representatives from various UN agencies, emphasizing China’s commitment to strengthening economic and trade relationships. He also highlighted China’s role in maintaining the stability of global industrial and supply chains.
Austrian business leaders expressed strong interest in enhancing ties with China, advocating for greater investment from Chinese companies and opposing trade protectionism. They called for increased collaboration and more business opportunities between Chinese and Austrian enterprises.
