A father and son have been apprehended in connection with the fatal shooting of a pregnant Texas teenager, Savanah Nicole Soto, and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, as disclosed by San Antonio police on Wednesday.

The young couple, Soto and Guerra, both in their early twenties, were reported missing in late December. Their lifeless bodies were discovered several days later in Guerra’s car, both victims of gunshot wounds. Tragically, Soto was nine months pregnant and had been scheduled for induction the day after her disappearance.

Police Sergeant Washington Moscoso clarified that Ramon was not directly involved in the murders that occurred on December 21, just before midnight. Moscoso stated that they are currently seeking no other suspects but emphasized the possibility of additional charges related to the unborn baby.

According to Moscoso, the motive behind the crime was a botched drug deal. The investigation was aided by critical evidence from Savanah Soto’s cellphone, with data analysis provided by the U.S. Secret Service.

Upon arriving at Ramon’s residence, Moscoso noted that Ramon seemed aware of the reason for the police visit. Following interrogations of both Ramon and Christopher, authorities gathered enough information to secure an arrest warrant.

Last week, police released a video featuring two individuals of interest. One was driving a dark Chevy Silverado, and the other was behind the wheel of Guerra’s Kia Optima. The footage was recorded near the location where the bodies were found, a few days before their discovery. Chief Bill McManus had stated that they were unsure if the persons in the video were connected to the victims at the time, indicating that the driver of the Optima was not Guerra or Soto.
