In anticipation of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony for the Ram Mandir, the Indian community in California’s Silicon Valley came together for a significant pre-celebration. Over 1,100 enthusiastic participants, adorned with saffron banners featuring the image of the Ram temple, engaged in a massive car rally spanning the Bay Area.
The pre-Ram Mandir celebration, reminiscent of a Golden City spectacle, unfolded on Saturday night. The procession, originating in Sunnyvale and progressing through the Warm Spring BART station and Golden Gate, culminated in Fremont in the Bay Area. The highlight of the event was a spectacular Tesla car light show that captivated onlookers.
The Tesla car light show, a fusion of technology and tradition, illuminated the night sky with digital billboard vehicles showcasing scenes from the Ramayana. The visuals included depictions of Lord Ram and the majestic Ram temple in Ayodhya, heightening the festive spirit among the participants.
Six dedicated Hindu volunteers orchestrated the grand rally, spanning a distance exceeding 150 km. Devotees, having secured valid police permission, joyously danced at various locations along the route, accompanied by traditional instruments like dhol nagara.
The vibrant pre-celebration not only marked the upcoming ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony for the Ram Mandir but also served as a cultural spectacle for the Indian community in California. The fusion of ancient traditions and modern technology, showcased through the Tesla car light show, added a unique dimension to the festivities.
