The Stolen Device Protection feature mandates the use of Face ID or Touch ID to access stored passwords. Moreover, alterations to crucial settings, such as changing the Apple ID password or the device passcode, are now shielded by a security delay, except when the iPhone is within familiar locations. The process involves initial Face ID or Touch ID verification, followed by an hour-long waiting period, and then an additional successful biometric authentication.
